BRIGITTE BERAHA SINGER /PIANIST
Brigitte Beraha is often mistaken for being either Scandinavian from her fair skin, blond hair and blue eyes, or French from a slight accent, noticeable from time to time. She was actually born in Milan to Turkish and British parents who decided to settle in Monaco in 1979 where she grew up. She finally made her way to London in 1996.
There, Brigitte obtained a music degree at Goldsmiths College, where she currently gives Jazz and Improvisation workshops, and went on to study at the prestigious Guildhall School of music on the jazz postgraduate course.
Shortly after she recorded her debut album Prelude to a Kiss (FMR) with the talents of Ingrid Laubrock-tenor sax, Barry Green-piano, Phil Donkin-double bass, George Hart-drums and guest vocalist Anita Wardell. The album received rave reviews, extensive international and national radio play, "Her debut album is impressive, as one would expect from someone who's well and truly paid her dues"-Humphrey Lyttelton
Throughout her professional career Brigitte has played at numerous venues in London including The Vortex Jazz Club, Pizza Express Dean Street, Pizza on the Park, The National Theatre & The Queen Elizabeth Hall.
Brigitte is available as a solo performer or with her band.
